i heart kc

though i will not be leaving kansas for my college education (i will be going to jccc and then most likely to ku) i might be leaving later in life. when i was younger, i used to really hate kansas. i thought it was too quiet and boring and there was nothing special about it to me. i always dreamed of moving to literally any other state. in the past few years, i've really come to appreciate kansas. i love how quiet it is, especially the fact that it's blessed with such little traffic. i think we have a pretty great community. we're always able to come together in times of sadness (such as the walk and all the events held for reat) as well as times of celebration (like the royals parade). some of my favorite places include prairie fire, all out adorable little shopping centers, the sunflower fields, and the warehouse. some of my favorite memories were when i was with my friends in the middle of the night in the summer, relaxing on the top floor of the parking garage in prairie fire. i know that no matter where i go, kansas will always hold a special place in my heart.

suki

since i don't have an actual object that i would consider to be my prized possession, i'm going to have to say my dog is my most prized possession. she's adorable, and means the world to me. she's a purebred shiba inu. we got her around last september, and she is currently nine or ten months old. surprisingly, she's nothing like a shiba - she is very affectionate and hates to be alone. she is communicative and active as well. as kids, and my brother would always beg for a dog and we never got one. then, out of no where in september of last year, my brother shows up with suki (also, he picked that name. i wanted to name her noodles. i'm still salty) and she was too cute for my parents to say no to. when we first got her, she didn't know how to go up or down the stairs. after a while, she could go up, but not down. she was very excited about this fact so she kept running up the stairs, and then crying until somebody got her down. the second she was back down, she would run back up again. she's a bit of a hassle and can be stubborn, but i love her regardless.

tv rescue

if i had to call one person from one tv show to come rescue me from any messy situation, i would want shawn spencer from psych to help. despite him being extremely childish, he's really clever. in several episodes of the show, he's always managing to escape even the trickiest and most difficult situations. if i were kidnapped and gave shawn a call, it would probably go down like this: first, after hanging up the phone, he would spend a bit of time distracted by some object on his desk. after he realized someone was actually in trouble, he would spend even more time trying to convince his friend and partner gus to come along. gus would refuse over and over again until finally giving. the two would take gus' car to the suspected location of the kidnapping. one they arrive, shawn would come face to face with the person that kidnapped me. he would crack a few jokes and probably try to make some conversation. after a bit of talking, he would pretend to have an episode in which he sees a "vision" of somebody in this building that is being hidden by this kidnapper. he would let his senses "lead him" throughout the building (he would really just be running around everywhere trying to find me). once in between him finding my location and revealing that he found me, he would find a way for him and gus to capture the kidnapper. once this was complete, he would set me free, i would thank him by giving him a pineapple.

in cold blood talk show

if i were a talk show host and had to invite one character from in cold blood by truman capote, i would choose to interview perry smith. i would choose him because he really is an unstable character and i would like to learn more about that – it is obvious he is dealing with many mental illnesses such as severe anxiety and depression, and i am very interested in that (mental illnesses, disorders, and abnormal psychology as a whole). i would ask if anything in specific triggered these illnesses to arise, or if it was just him bad home life in general – which i would also ask about. in some parts of the book, he seems like he’s not fit for the life of crime, while in others, he confesses to brutal murders and considered another two murders as well as suicide. i want to know which side of him is the real one.

one huge question i would have for him is why he did what he did at the murder scene, which was setting everyone up in comfortable positions, even though he was planning to kill them/knew they were going to die within the next minute or do. it just doesn’t add up to me – why would you even bother wasting your time to do that? if you really felt bad enough for them that you went out of your way to make them comfortable and even speak to the daughter for about then minutes, why would you kill them?

the last topic i would want to ask about is if he even trusted wells in the first place (the one that told dick and perry about the clutters), or if he was just going along with dick’s plan or some reason.
